Tiger/dragon for best pairing.

Just the right side of mutually abusive, and extreme height difference?

Unf.

What could that say about you that would worry you? I'm confused.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-28 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not really sure what you're worried about? There's nothing that really says about you other than you have a 'type'. Most people do. No big thing.

Do you mean really domestic dudes? I totally get that, if so, at least in fiction. I'm not sure if you mean that, or dudes who are "effeminate" or nurturing or...actually now that I think about it "housewifey" could mean several different things...

[Picture is a man cosplaying Ryuuji Takasu from the anime "Toradora". He is wearing a white T-shirt and a cream-colored apron over that, with the pictures of cartoon cows over it. He is in a kitchen moving a wooden spatula or spoon inside a pot.]

My absolute favorite archetype for male characters is the housewife/"motherly" type. I really don't know what that says about me.

Thanks!

Thank you, secret maker, for telling me who it was and from where. You've saved me time. :3

I like domestic guys too :)

If more women said they liked domestic dudes, maybe more domestic dudes would step up to the plate. Fuck knows we need more acceptable gender role differences for men.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-29 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
+1 to this.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-29 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Sadly, I think men know that a lot of women like domestic guys - which is why you get the gross MRA wankers bitching about society emasculating men and expecting them to do "women's work" and keeping them from fulfilling their roles as providers and bread-winners, etc etc etc...

Mind, I don't disagree with you, I just think the majority of men do, unfortunately :/

(Anonymous) 2013-07-29 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
But that's not true.

Men being domestic isn't considered acceptable by the overwhelming majority of women, and MRAs are entirely separate to that.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-29 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have a source for that? It kind of goes against "common wisdom," (i.e. that virtually all women want their partners to help out around the house more), and I'd be curious if someone's done some proper research on it either way.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-29 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool story, bro.
Stats or GTFO.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-29 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, I keep saying this constantly. That I like guys who love to cook and bake, that I like guys who want to take care of kids, that I like sensitive guys and guys who are not ashamed to cry. Do you know what types of people constantly mock me for that? Guys.
"Oh you want a pussy-whipped loser, figures"
"Oh haha, you want a she-male?"

Maybe more men should just admit that they shit on gender norms.

In my experience, women talking about liking men who don't want to live up to sexist stereotypes can't change anything. Because the brodude army constantly shuts them up and goes "oh nononono, you have to want a MANLY man. It's the law of the jungle, bitch"

one of the reasons I like teen wolf is the pack mom stiles trope. it's awesome.
