I think the bows are a bit much (the size of them), but it's cute. Not quite as elegant as the later dress, but this one is fun.

IA. The chest bow is a bit much for me. It's still cute tho.

I LOVED that dress as a kid. It was, in my kids mind, the prettiest dress ever. And I wasn't even really a pink and bows kind of kid, but something about that dress just really appealed to me. So yeah, I agree.

The silver one is more my taste, but if it wasn't for the chest bow I think this would be an adorable dress. It's not terrible at any rate.

I think it's lovely! I actually like the big bows. (I think I'm still six years old inside).

I'm not sure about the dress, but I like her hairstyle here better.

You know, I always thought this dress was pretty as a kid, but now looking at this screencap... well, the dress itself is still nice, but between the headband bow in her hair, the bright red lipstick that clashes with the pink, and the random blue-green necklace that doesn't tie into anything else in the outfit, I'm just like "damn gurl, you need to learn how to accessorize."

(Anonymous) 2013-07-28 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Technically I think it's the mice that have to learn...

This all could've been avoided if she had a sassy gay friend mouse.

[Picture is Cinderella from the Disney animated movie of the same name. She is wearing a sleeveless pink dress with with edges and pale pink bows. She has slightly long dark blonde hair with a pink bow over it. She is wearing a blue necklace and red lipstick. She has blue eyes. She is standing at the bottom of an elegant curving staircase.]

I liked this dress more than her silver one.

me too, but I'm a sucker for anything pink.

I liked it better because her friends worked really hard to make it for her. It was lovely (and I hated pink as a child). I was aghast when her stepsisters ruined it. I always wanted her fairy godmother to mend the dress her friends made (and maybe spruce it up a little).

Plus, wasn't this the design she had set out that she wanted?

I love her silver dress and never much cared for this one, but having the Fairy Godmother fix the original one instead would have been a better story.

Not sure if it was her dream dress, but it was the one she wanted to make with the dress she had at hand.

I think part of the need for a new dress was to follow the story of how her step-family didn't recognize her at the ball. If the Fairy Godmother had just repaired the old one, they would've known it was her right away.

I mean, it still doesn't explain the Clark Kent syndrome, but it's one reason at least.

I liked it better because her friends worked really hard to make it for her.

This was always my issue as a kid, I didn't like that the fairy godmother just made her a new dress and all that work that the friends who care about her went to waste. IDK man, it just bugged me so much as a kid.

it probably looked super ratchet in person.
