From personal experience, "Lucky" is the most popular Britney Spears song during Karaoke (it's also my favorite), so I wouldn't say your opinion is that rare.

I think it's because it's not really applicable to the general public. Like, this girl's so pretty and rich, poor her, even though she's actually really lonely. Maybe people see some sort of elitism from it, or maybe just don't see the point if it's hard to connect to or something. IDK.

In any case, it's still a good song. That dun-dun-dun after "She's so lucky" still gets stuck in my head.

This was always one of my top five Britney songs (even more so after the music video, because I think it does a really good job telling the story of the song).

I think it is dismissed sometimes because it doesn't seem applicable to the general public, but if you take away the Hollywood setting, you have a girl who feels she should be happy with her life not actually feeling that way, which I feel does apply to a lot of people.

Really? I thought most Britney Spears fans liked "Lucky". I never heard of any negativity towards that song in particular. Personally, It's one of my favorites too.

I kind of love all the old Britney Spears music(SONGS OF MY CHILDHOOD), Lucky is a good choice OP.

I've always liked 'Lucky' but I admit that 'You Drive Me Crazy' is my favorite classic Britney song.
And... and I still have the 'I'm A Slave 4 U' single lying around somewhere. Ugh, I couldn't get that song out of my head for weeks back then.

I listened to a lot of Britney back in the day. There came a point where I was bored of it and stopped, but despite not following her career closely it seems like I'm always hearing new Britney songs used in fanvids and grow to like them through that. *shrugs*

When that song first start showing on TV back in the day when music videos were actually shown on TV (and thus the only way to watch it) I used to wake up at 6am on a Saturday because that was when our music show was on, just to watch that clip. Love that song.

I was on and off as a Britney 'fan' back then (mostly off.. I was more a fan of criticizing her), but I liked that song. Not dure I'd listen to it now, but eh.

This was one of the hit singles from that album and I've always really loved it. I'd say it's probably my favorite too, though I love several others almost as much.

I find it ironic that I was just listening to Lucky earlier.

I always really liked this song. In fact I remember helping my parents set up my new bed and pausing to sing this song (horribly off key) when it came on. I wasn't aware that it had hate?

Now I'm off to watch the vid since its been ages since I've seen it. :)
