The newbies just lack such common sense, like, this animal outweighs you by 1000lb, don't try to fight it, you won't win.
Maybe if you take a couple of lessons your confidence will come back?
Sidenote, it's especially funny because I'm a dressage trainer. I do cavaletti work for cross training, and jump small things, but it's not my specialty. So, it's always good for a laugh when they come. LOL!

I was thinking riding lessons might be nice sometimes, though. =)
My mom though, a couple years ago, had a pretty bad fall when she was barrel racing though, and ended up seperating her shoulder. Lucky for her, I'm a massage therapist, so I work on it when it starts getting sore, but here we are like, four years later, with it still bothering her. =(

(Anonymous) 2013-07-31 02:39 am (UTC)(link)Oh man, what was he thinking? :/ I'm sorry to hear you fell.
Some people have no clue how to act around certain animals. Reminds me a bit of one of my uncles who thought it was wise to "test" the abilities of my dog who is trained to guard our garden. My uncle just hopped over the fence one night and my dog was so quickly on top of him, he couldn't even count to three. Thankfully he wasn't injured since my dog recognized it was him as soon as he jumped him.

But yikes, I feel like that could have ended very badly!
