Are those people on tumblr like 15? Wolfstar was ~sunk~ in canon 8 years ago. Not that it was ever hinted at in canon in the first damn place.

And the biggest surprised from reading the Wolfstar tumblr tag is that people seriously call Tonks/Remus Remadora. *shudders*

I think it's a bit different though. When you've got the canon - yeah, you've got to work around the canon romance, but with creative storytelling you can do that in a way that will satisfy some people that you're still potentially canon compliant.

When something is declared as a fact of canon by authorial fiat - what can you do with that? I'm not saying every manner of insane reaction is justified, but I can understand a feeling of frustration and injustice.

True. But I still think a lot of those people are too young to remember the heyday of HP fandom. There's people in the tag afraid that JKR will be scared off from doing any more bios if she gets wind of folks' anger. I mean, if she wasn't scared off by fans 10 years ago when fandom was actually still very, very active, why would she be scared now?

I agree with you, Anon. If she wasn't scared away by the whole Gaydumbles explosion, which was far larger and met with much more praise/revulsion than Wolfstar could ever hope for, nothing's going to stop her now.
