Re: Beauty vs other things
Looking at pictures of people, not knowing their personality or aura (or whatever you want to call it) most people will rate you beautiful or not, or on some for of scale, though that is the attractiveness part of the expression.
Knowing people on the other hand, makes them beautiful, because you like them, you love their personality and their appearance, because that is what makes them uniquely them, which makes them beautiful for you.
I have friends whose appearance is really pretty and I have others whom are more average looking, but in my mind they are all equal and to me they are beautiful, because they are kind hearted, funny individuals whom I know will always be there for me! How they look means nothing for me in the end, except for an identifier, I like seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter, I love hugging them and hanging out with them.
And I think we all judge people partly for how they look? Be it their faces, clothes or way of expressing themselves, and it is naive to think we don't.
For me it is more important to make sure I don't judge groups of people, or don't give individuals a chance because I don't like the way they dress, not to find (or call) everyone I meet beautiful, because at the end of the day that does not matter as much as how you treat those around you.
And beauty is a thing, some people are objectively prettier than other people, that does not make them better, just like being smart or good at sports does not make you a better person.
I tried making my point, I might or might not have failed... I guess ask me to clarify before making assumptions if I was unclear.Re: Beauty vs other things
