I am sick of people fetishizing the abuse I suffered as a child. Your "kink" was my living hell.

Except that it actually happened to you. I'm sorry that it did, no human deserves that. And I don't think anyone with a kink truly believes anyone should suffer the way Bolton makes Theon suffer.

However, Theon isn't really suffering, because he isn't real. It's safe for people to fetishize his situation because he's not a real person. Most people reading horrible torturefic would also be sympathetic towards the abuse you survived, even if a similar situation is something they like in fiction.

Because it's fiction, and fiction's a safe fucking place for enjoying just about anything.
