It's sad. Their family and friends will be sad. People who feel invested in that celebrity will feel a loss, which is also sad.
I do not understand why so many people totally unconnected to any of the principals except by media consumption are so deeply personally invested, and depending on specifics sometimes find it borderline-creepy.
It does actually affect my life when the media is suddenly ALL ROYAL BABY, ALL THE TIME.
