It doesn't affect your life either whenever a celeb dies or gives birth. So why spazz about the baby (with all your excitement) or the dead celeb (with all your tears and "X will never be the same!")? In short, it goes both ways.

I know Glee sucks these days, but there are still a lot of people who like it,or at least have a strong nostalgic association with it. It WILL demonstrably be a different show because Cory Monteith died. Not a major life change for us, no, but it's still a change and -- even if you're a jerk and aren't sad for his family and friends -- at least as worthy of sadness/annoyance as Matt Smith leaving Doctor Who.
