While some of those 'I don't care' posts do get a little snooty, I can totally understand why someone would end up making one - particularly if it's about something people just cannot seem to stop talking about because well...There does come a point when you can't seem to get away from something and just snap about people because of it.

I'm not saying it's right, or okay, but I can see why it would happen with some people.

I think it can feel mean spirited, I had it when a singer died and I was upset, and put something on Facebook. A few minutes later one of my FB friends posted that they were sick of people caring about this death, can't remember the exact words. I felt it was directed at me because of the timing, and felt hurt and angry with this person. I would have preferred she'd put it on my status in fact, that would have felt less aggressive.

I have been moved to tears by a couple of celebrity deaths. I didn't even know who the bloke from Glee is, but I think people have all sorts of reasons for feeling bereaved, and should be let get on with it, none of my business how they feel about him.
