Oh great, are you going to "explain" the word ephebophile next, creeper?

When a 40 year old talks about how "sexy" a 14 year old is, that IS creepy and any laws in the world won't change it.

Your little lecture might make sense if it was, you know, actual Japanese people pointing out the age of consent. It's not. It's international fans who use it to derail the conversation.

I'm assuming you are young yourself, under 21. If not then your obsession with teenage sex and people talking about it is pretty damn creepy too.

No, I'm considering blocking 90% of my fandom friends, because the past half year most of them have turned creepy. They will not stop saying how "cute" this pairing is.

Wtf? I don't care about teenagers having sex with each other, I DO care about adults having sex with teenagers.

And actually, in the non-fandom world, most people agree that sort of thing is creepy. I bet even in Japan, a 40 year old having sex with a fourteen year old is illegal.

Dear anon: They're not people. They're fictional characters. If your friends find them cute or write fic of them or draw art of them, that doesn't cause any adults to have sex with teenagers.

I say block them. At one point my fandom suddenly turned into 90% shota so I left the fandom because there was no longer anything to interest me. That's really the only approach there is since you can't control what other people produce/like.

I learned way more than I ever cared about consent laws while stumbling into the TV Tropes forums, where creepy, very much adult dudes and some women, tried to justify their lusting after animated cartoon girls, or when trying to weasel out of drooling over the pictures a 15 year old girl who had naively posted them in the forums

Nope. Just pointing out your comment was kind of stupid wank bait, and you should use the right words.

I find adult/teenager creepy myself regardless of age, but that's why I'm glad the age of consent in my part of the world is 18. Other countries do it differently, regardless of my feelings on the subject.
