I have noticed that somehow F!S, according to you and anons like you, is always dying and never dead.

Therefore I must ask, can we die or have we created an immortal being bent on world domination?

I figure it is some form of undead. Zombie, lich, or whatever it is that makes Stephen Hawking like that.

But don't you have to die first to become undead?

(Anonymous) 2013-08-03 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
It did. F!S died when it left LJ, this is F!S:Revenants.

That didn't feel like death though. Death would have been if everyone left and this turned into a ghost town. The move was more like moving into a new house and realizing you have a lot of shit you don't use so you give some of it to Good Will or something.

Nah, that is more like...uh...blah, blah, blah, some random troll-wank. I'm sorry man, my heart just isn't in it today.

It's cool. You stayed with it this long and for that you are thanked profusely.

DA

How about the type of zombification that's spread by viruses. Therefore, technically not dead but might as well be?

Depends on what the virus does? Zombieland virus would work, considering it’s a version of Mad Cow disease and none of the zombies are actually dead. However, the solanum virus kills the victim and then reanimates the corpse.

there'd be too much navel gazing to do any dominating

I dunno, we tend to revel in destruction.

Yeah, we are all a bit addicted to schadenfreude, aren't we? Sort of like fandom_wank in its heyday, only with more of a tendency to join in on the kerfuffle of the moment than just point and laugh at it. I do think that if any comm could dominate and navel-gaze at the same time, it's us.

[personal profile] forgottenjester 2013-08-03 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we point and laugh at it as we join in. I mean, don't most of our posts boil down to, "Lol, you stupid troll. You're so obvious. Now I'm going to debate your wanky opinion." That's a great example of our multitasking so yes, we should be able to dominate and navel-gaze at the same time. How hard can it be?

Maybe FS is just terminal, or anon is concerned about the unknown half-life of it

When you say half-life all I can think of is Ubik and now I am officially terrified.

Or maybe it's in a constant state of Undying, always in a state of decay and rot but never truly dying, trapped in an eternal autumn.

Yes I do have a place in my heart for Clive Barker's semi-terrible game

So, like our time is stopped at a moment of near death? (I'm sorry. I've never seen his stuff.)
