I am very pro this move, because Capaldi is a really, really talented actor, and I think that's probably the most important quality for someone to have to play the part. Even if he's not going to be as sweary as he was in the Thick of It.

I think it would be better if they were also replacing Moffat, but you can't have everything, I guess.

I think he'll made a good Doctor as well. I can see him being a sarcastic maybe closer to 9. Or he might be a jolly one. Only the Christmas episode can tell!

Same. I also want to punch the stupid little fucking fanbrats who are whining because he's not OMG HAWT AND YOUNG. Way to make Whovians look like shallow twit-nostrils!

...that's...I still can't get over that. Speaks a lot to the fanbase Moffat has gone out of his way to court, though. :-P
