OP sounds like you are overthinking this. Maybe it's just not your cup of tea? I hate it in fanfic and back button straight away. I also don't like genderswap for the most part. The only time I like it is if it's something from canon, and just a temp genderswap where the person is dealing with it for a fixed bit of time.

Otherwise it's just not my thing. I don't think you need to feel guilty. You know your own opinions and values and whether you have any issues with this stuff. I have no issues with trans people IRL and it wouldn't be an issue for me if the fic was about a character who was trans in canon, but it doesn't appeal to me at all if not.
