I have a twin who is my platonic soulmate so I'm not sure how much closer to a person you can get without sex, and I ship Kirk/Spock. I know a LOT of fangirls ship any two marginally attractive white male penises that come into contact with each other EVEN ONCE, but Kirk/Spock is not and never has been one of those ships, imo. The person who created star trek said that Kirk and Spock's love could easily have been sexual/romantic, if that were the style of the century Star Trek took place in, IE, WE CAN'T MAKE THEM FUCK IN THIS TIME PERIOD BECAUSE OF ALL THE HOMOPHOBIC TITS OUT THERE. Isn't that sad? Do me a favor and actually READ about this pairing, and you'll see it isn't a bunch of dumb fangirls wanting to use gay men for their sexual gratification and nothing else.
