Well, you could take this reaction as your answer. People are giving you their honest thoughts on the question. Technically.

There's a person who keeps trying to start wank. This person replies to themselves over and over, trying to stir stuff up. It's gotten really boring and old at this point, plus Case can see IPs and whatnot, so, yeah. I'm starting to think she/he has some serious mental issues or is in dire need of a hobby

People keep calling me a weak troll. And while I disagree, it's true I don't try all that hard here.

And that person is why. See, few people are such masters of trolling that they'll always get a bullseye, myself included. But the one who tries that hard looks far sadder doing it then the effort where the wank goes nowhere.

Nah. We've just had a few days of "innocent" but wankbait type questions in GC. Kind of like when we had those incest anons coming in everyday and making up new part to their story. People were down at first, but now it's really seeming trolly.

Lol to be fair this place isn't really that lighthearted most of the time. Which is why starting a debate on sexism is going to blow up 95% of the time.

Same, I'm baffled by this troll (maybe multiple?) who seems to be trying every day to get a reaction. They're not trolling right, their wank is boring and they're just trying way too hard (so much secondhand embarrassment)

The end result is, not much wank happens because it's pretty obvious. I miss the long threads of wank where we'd all get really fired up, go for each other's throats, watch it get frozen then all settle back down again.

Actually, that's a good point. Is dick a gendered insult? It's used quite frequently against both men and women, more or less equally, but it is, you know, Dick.

People who don't see "dick" as a gendered insult akin to cunt or bitch are being oblivious to their own hypocrisy. But as long as we're using the appropriate insult for the appropriate gender, I'm not going to be bothered by bitches and dicks whining at me for calling them out on bitch- and dick-ery.

"Dick" is gendered, but I know that and don't always care, and I don't have a problem calling a woman a dick if that's the word I feel like using. I don't always care if someone calls me a bitch either - it tends to vary from case to case whether they are clearly attacking me based on the fact that I'm female, or just wanted to insult me and that word was close at hand. (That's also of course discounting the many, many times my male and female friends and I have tossed around words like that in complete jest.)

The reason I personally don't see it as insulting as something like "pussy" is because dicks are weirdly worshiped by everyone, whereas anything to do with a woman is reviled in a way. Dudes are told to "man up" whereas being a pussy is the biggest insult you could get, as a man. So "dick" = "asshole" but it still doesn't have as harsh a connotation as something like "pussy" or "cunt" (even though I like saying cunt myself, and I like both those words in porn haha)
