I find it hard to believe that all nine of the [known] patients he murdered were a legitimate threat to his survival.

I love Hannibal, but he is unspeakably cruel. I hold with the above [Abigail was indeed a threat, knew-too-much etc.] but even if she were entirely innocent [she was not], I don't think it's a far leap from most anything else he did.

He ate the eyeball and tongue of some random nurse. Hannibal considers himself a gentleman, but his moral code is very twisted.

And if the OP is talking about Abigail's friend-- also above: she called her mother a bitch, and you can quite literally see Hannibal decide to off her.
