Secret 8

[Picture is a screen-captured of the media player "VLC" playing an episode of the anime "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters". In the paused screen, there is a split-screen shot, with close-ups of the villain Maximillion Pegasus and the antagonist Seto Kaiba's eyes, as they stare at each other dramatically. Maximillion has a light brown right eye and a golden magical artifact/fake eye/magical eye called "The Millennium Eye" in his left eye-socket, partly covered from sight by his long silver hair. He has light olive skin. Seto has short brown hair and blue eyes, and light skin. There is the subtitle "Blue-Eyes White-Dragon!"]

It took me years to admit without embarrassment or apology that this was the fandom I started out in. (I changed my pen name when I "left it behind.")

Bonus secret: Even when I do, I rarely mention that it was the most fun I've ever had participating in a fandom, with some of the friendliest, funniest, most talented people I've ever met ... because I'm afraid I'll get laughed at or thought of as unintelligent or a freak (or worse) by the new fandom.
