What gets me is the people who are honestly, truly convinced that it's going to become canon. That Dean is suddenly going to turn around and declare his love for Cas and everyone will cheer and ride off into the sunset. Like... seriously? Are you nuts? There's a myriad of reasons it's not going to happen (from "this is still American television, an out-of-the-blue gay plot twist would not end well" to "the show isn't supposed to be centered on romance anyway" and everything in between), but they're so obsessed that if it doesn't happen, idk what they're going to do.

OT but it also annoys me how obsessed they are with dead characters. "Bring Adam back! Bring Ellen back! Bring Meg back! Bring Gabriel back!" NO. SHUT UP. (...well, except Gabe. Gabe was hilarious.)

I hate how so many people can ship Dean and Castiel and claim to be Deangirls. Do they just not see how incredibly OOC it would be for Dean? But then I remember that a lot of them can't see how OOC Dean has been since S4, how all the fan pandering has really ruined his character, and it just makes me so sad :(

Just leaving this here, because I just read this meta. You probably won't read it and it probably won't change your mind, but for whatever that's worth.

Also, FWIW, I actually ship Dean/Cas and don't think it would ever be canon, because I don't think the writers are going to go there. However, I do think that with what we've been given, they absolutely could. Making it canon wouldn't make the show about romance. I do have a very real fear that if they did make it canon, they'd absolutely butcher it, but...the theory is that you could make Destiel canon and change very little about the actual show. *shrugs*

Also, the constant cries to bring back dead characters is annoying but to be fair, most of the characters are dead. So there's that.
