Since everyone is just talking about ponies...

I really don't think that Tinkerbell figured out her skill in an easy way, but there's only so much you can put into a script for one kids movie.

I really liked that she wasn't cool with her talent at first and tried to do other things until realizing that being crafty is something you can be proud of. I was expecting something horrible to come out of the Disney's Fairies franchise; super dumbed down shit equal to dangling a bunch of keys in front of a baby for a while.
But in my opinion the Fairies are everything the stupid Disney Princess line SHOULD be. A bunch of female characters who get shit done and grow together as people, not as female stereotypes.

It's not about finding your true calling, more about realizing what your strenghts are and making the best out of it instead of aiming for something you'll never be able to achieve.

How do the Disney Fairies grow together? In the four movies that have come out, only Tink and Vidia have gotten actual development. Rosetta, Fawn, Iridessa, and Silvermist haven't gotten anything, and 3/4 of those are POC. Most of the Disney princesses don't have any positive female relationships and that sucks, I agree with you there, but the Disney Fairies line isn't perfect either. I say this as someone who loves both.
