It's okay OP, it's still better than my reason of "I read a lot of fanfic about guys being badass mecha pilots/ninja/samurai/other warrior type of choice, and I want to be badass like that too!"

...nobody takes you seriously when your inspiration stems from anime/fanfic. haha
