My entire town has been in the news for the past three days because we are flooded all to hell and back.

My house, though, is fine, as we're up on a hillock and in no danger.

Mostly ok. It's too hot here to be upstairs on the computer a lot lately which is why I haven't been around so much the past week or so.

On a depressing note, I'm just starting to really realize that my cat is old (13) and probably won't live more than 2 more years. He's my very very first pet ever. Nothing's seriously wrong with him, he's just old and is just gonna wear out, probably at the kidneys. Poor baby has lost weight (he's now 11.5 lb, down from ~13-14) and will most likely lose a bit more, even though his vets say it's a normal amount and aren't concerned. He's always had allergy problems and this spring we've had to change his treatment for them (steroids) because of the risk of diabetes. Anyway it's not like he's going any time immediately soon or anything, I'm just sort of confronting that inevitability. :( I just love him so much.

I've had a new roommate as of Sunday, and we're all still adjusting, our animals especially. My huge but cowardly dog got punched in the face by the new cat again today and later pissed himself in fear at the sight of said cat. Le sigh.

Okaish I guess. Moved on from being really depressed and teary to being mostly meh to okay and super antisocial. But on a plus side I don't feel quite as ragey anymore.

So to sum it up: my mental health is back to a level that I can deal with and I'm on a holiday (finally!) which instantly makes everything better and happier (except my bank account which I'm happily ignoring xD)

Insomnia's being a biatch! But luckily my partner has taken care of baby this morning. I'm going to Bangkok in a month (again)! And partner seems really excited by my proposal that we start a fair trade babycarry export business there next year, so I'm :O :O :D about that!
