I'm going there to model! Everything is being paid for by my agency, and there will be days where I'm not working, so there will definitely be some interaction with people and culture. I wanted to rewatch Kelly Osbourne Turning Japanese but only the first episode is on Youtube and I can't find it elsewhere.

do you use memrise.com? That format works really well for me learning languages \o/

Oh, I'll definitely be talking to people for sure! I can talk to people around me if I have questions of course, but I can't form any relationships or try to, because of the sex trafficking there. It's a safety thing.

LOL well, you never know who wants to be the one to steal you away! It's more of a thing they advise against more than anything. I of course make my own choices down there.

I mean, I'm not saying I'm sure your true love is there or anything but, you know, if you use the usual common sense rules (don't go with strangers to places you don't know at all, etc) I'm pretty sure you'd be fine. Most of the time people wanting sex ends in sex in my experience, rather then being sex traffick'd.

This is very true! I'm not very social outside of business or the internet anyways though. In fact, I'm awkward as hell :/ I hate it, so I avoid it!

I.... I've been to Japan once and it didn't really strike me as a rapey kidnappy kind of place, well, not more than the West anyhow. Learn the language basics, keep common sense, and you'll be fine. Maybe the agency has another agenda in trying to keep you from being distracted.

Japan has a lot of problems with sexual harassment, but yeah, I've never heard of sex trafficking being a big problem there.

Oh have fun! You should go to the giant water park near...near um I think it was ?suidobashi?, yellow train line. Um, it was an old 'castle' with a moat, it's like a bird park in the south west of the main city! /googlemaps not working for me

Yes! I've been very busy with modeling and (some... sort of... ish) acting. With the help of my manager, agencies overseas are starting to recognize me, but they don't think I'm ready for them since my portfolio still shows I'm a new model (I started Feb this year), so I've been working my ass off to prove them wrong and I am ready for them by filling up my portfolio :D

Good luck with it and honestly? If you'll be in Tokyo, it'll be pretty easy to manage with only the most minimalist of phrases.

As far as learning languages go, I find nothing beats immersion in that language. Try and get the basic [greetings, phrases specific to your work etc] down before you get there, but once you're there, just jumping in is the best way to learn. ... As long as people around you are tolerant of your mistakes and correct you, heh. If you can find someone who wants to practise their English, you could always suggest a trade! =D

Yaaay, Rambly!Anon, I've missed you!! I thought about you the other day when my sister decided to take up drawing. I've been drawing every single day! But I have stopped for a little while due to no time at all + waiting on paint supplies anyways :) it's been 2 whole weeks since I last drew, even though I managed to fit in a shaded heart or little daisy every once in a while to at least feel like I'm keeping at it. Still not confident in it, but I definitely see some improvement! Thank you for checking up ❤❤❤

The modeling is going very well! It's what's filling up my schedule big time, plus I took up web designing!

Aww, you're welcome! I've actually been drawing a bit more than I usually manage lately, so when I saw your name in the GC I immediately started wondering how your drawing was going too.
