It's not at all the same thing

but I was playing Crusader Kings 2, and the king I was playing as at the time had a son and heir who was really good (he had character traits including Diligent, Brave, Kind, and Charitable, and pretty decent stats), and I married him to a young Breton duke's daughter who was also Brave and Kind, and I just got way too excited about the whole process of them being married, and then really disappointed when I didn't have an heir and I looked and saw that her opinion of him was low because "spurned", and then way too excited when I saw that their opinions were really high again and I had an heir and they were each other's lovers.

Crusader Kings is kind of a weird game.
