I like this show, but ugh, the fandom annoys me so much. Everyone's so eager to pat themselves on the back for shipping an interracial queer couple, it comes off as horribly condescending. And I say this as part of an interracial queer couple.

This is the first time I'm really hearing anything about people patting their backs for shipping a possibly interracial/interspecies queer couple. To me it's just like, they're canon, yay! XD

Yes, you are correct. Suddenly all previous gross racism in slash fandom has vanished because one pairing with a Latino character is popular.
