(Anonymous) 2013-08-08 12:55 am (UTC)(link)I did something similar. I stopped using the same nickname on each and every website/service I sign up at.
People don't even recognize me from my art anymore. Sometimes someone will point out that person X has a similar style to person Y and I'll just sit in front of my screen chuckling because I'm X and Y at the same time and so far no one has ever noticed.
