I don't think Hollywood is ready for a Wonder Woman movie. Every time I hear the rumblings of a one, they always talking about how Diana will tackle woman's issues or how in that God awful pilot, she wanted a career and family or how she is searching for Mr. Right. And all I can think is, "CHRIST! You don't get Wonder Woman at all."

She isn't the every woman. She's warrior. She was born and raised as an Olympian blessed fighter. Treat her as such. It's odd how back in the 90's they had no problem making a show like Xena where she was a warrior through and through but almost twenty years later it seems like such a foreign concept.

This wrecks my head.

The existence of Xena ought to be proof positive against any bullshit excuses they have about WW not working. Warrior princess is not an impossible character to write! Xena is a thing that exists!

And it's not like HW isn't into derivative and generic, so they could actually rip of Xena wholesale to make a WW movie if they wanted. I'd be down with that, tbh.

I'm watching the first season of Xena at this exact moment and that's struck me too. Everyone knows who she is and nobody blinks at her being a woman. They just leer a little.

Back then there wasn't this "Fake Geek Girl" bullshit and asshats claiming that men don't want to watch female heroes (and after all hero movies are only made for men, amirite).

I saw an awesome fan-made 'WW' trailer and most of the comments were 'her boobs aren't big enough' and 'WW is boring/isn't a superhero/why would we need a WW movie?'

Fucking depressing. WW was on of my favorite tv shows as a kid.
