Okay, go

Lets see your pitch. This is legit, I'm not gonna call it stupid unless it is. You seem to have an idea of how to make a good film with her, I want to know.

I'd go with the current New 52 interpretation myself, only with Orion removed. Make Aries the implied threat of the sequel.

Well I think the animated film (minus what they did with Greta) had a good basis for her character and as an origin film, but honestly I'd love to see something slightly similar to what they didn't get to do with Captain America. Diana comes from a totally different perspective and it'd be interesting to see her have to leave her Island and come into a new land with a totally different value system. Not the generic confused by new technology or anything, just a culture shock. And have whoever is her main villain adapt in a way that's a foil to how she grows with it.

It'd be interesting... if it was done right to see her not shy away from sort of celebrity status too, since really Wonder Woman doesn't do the secret identity in too many situations. More of her coming in as a representative of Themyscira.

I haven't read the new 52, kind of dropped off DC before the reboot, but I think keeping the Greek Mythology at her core and making that her rogues gallery is the way to go. But DC seems really intent on being pseudo-realistic, so I'm not sure how to make that work in a Nolan type universe (then again a Nolan universe would have Wondy killed off for Steve Trevor's growth).

Nope, no good.

Sorry my dear, but you said what you WANTED. Not stupid, but not a PITCH. Now granted, my pitch was lazy, but it was a pitch: take the first issues of new 52 (the plot is about Diana saving the mother of an unborn child of Zeus from Hera's wrath, multiple gods involved on both sides and other mythological creatures after the babe), put them in movie form.

You wanna convince it'd be easy to make a good wondy film, you gotta give me an actual plot. Yeah my pitch is weak but the onus is on you. You gotta pick a main antagonist at least! (Mine, as said before, is Hera)

I'll even go with something original to make a point. Not saying this is good, but it's a pitch:

Usual origin crap, make sure Aries gets heavy time in it. While adjusting tot he world, Diana goes after something she can understand, a murderer. Turns out to be Dr. Posion. I'll keep the Gender ambiguity but would not make it into a Trans thing, Tumblr can do that.

Probably sneak a Hellions cameo in there just cause I like them, and also use it to tie Posion into Aeries larger scheme of sowing discord in the world.

Go with Dr. Psycho if I get a sequel.

If I may, I want to take a shot.

Going with the traditional origin, Diana is made from clay and given divine favor by the gods, knew the love of a thousand mothers, etc, including the part when the Amazons hold a tournament to see who shall see who will venture into Man's World, she is forbidden from participating and only gets in by hiding her identity. This will be the crux of her narrative arc; she may have divine favor, but she must fight to prove not only to her sisters, but to the world that she is worthy to wield these powers, aka the 'Wonder' part of her name.

(Also second sub-arc; she was forbidden to participate because her mother, and a few of the other amazons, still see her as their little girl. By venturing into Man's World and experiencing major culture shock, she has to rapidly mature into an adult, aka the 'Woman' part.)

This is tested when she meets Dr. Barbra Minerva, aka the Cheetah. She's Wondy's perfect foil; a woman of science who uses divine relics as a means for selfishness and power. Unlike Diana, who sees godly favor as a sacred duty, Barbra (and a lot of Man's World) sees them as nothing more than tools for personal gain. Since Barbra needs blood sacrifices for her powers to work, meaning killing/hurting innocent people, Diana is compelled to stop her.

She defeats Barbra but shows her compassion by helping her with the side-effects of the Cheetah powers. At the end, Diana rejects the idea of having a secret identity, because she's earned the right to be Wonder Woman and will never need to hide her face again.

And in the end we can have a post-credits stinger of Circe watching her and going 'muwahahahaha'.

I have zero interest in Wonder Woman, but I would probably watch this movie.
