hinkyracist about it. (Herc/Stacker? Tendo/Stacker? In a more just world, there would be tons of fic for both those ships.)4) Otoh, identifying racism within a group is very different from identifying racism in an individual. Yeah, if all of your ships are white dudely ships, then maybe you should sit yourself down for a bit of introspection. But if you ship some PoC ships and some femslash and/or het, in addition to your Pacific Rim m/m OTP, then you've got nothing to worry about.

I didn't; note that I said "femslash and/or het" in my original comment.
i'm sick of people like me being treated like vegetables people in fandom have to eat before the can enjoy something.
Pretty sure I didn't do that, either. What I did say is that if someone only ships white men, then that person should "maybe...sit...down for a bit of introspection." Or in other words, if someone doesn't ship any characters of color or female characters, then that person might want to consider whether she or he is part of the problem that fandom has with regard to racism and misogyny.
Especially considering that OP's secret expressed concerns about this very topic, meaning that OP has already chosen to engage in some level of introspection regarding OP's shipping preferences, I'm not seeing how eating one's vegetables applies.
