I really hated when the whole pack mom thing became a trend because it made people paint him as a nurturing, selfless martyr and stop focusing on some of Stile's more interesting qualities (like the fact that while he can be compassionate and tries to protect and care for his father and Scott, he can also be a shrewd, manipulative little shit who got his father drunk to get information out of him and was more than willing early in the first season to let Derek die when he got shot while Scott was the one who wanted to save his life). Teen Wolf fandom is very disappointing

he's much more interesting when he's shown as being someone who cares about his people and is prepared to get rid of anyone else. I thought maybe they were going to use him as the character who would kill / torture (in supernatural terms, not like be an assassin) whatever people so Scott never had to.
