Writing is something I've always thought about doing, though never really done. But now I'm thinking about writing fic for my fandom. The secret is that instaed of writing for myself, I want to write fanfiction to gain attention from the Big Name Fans in my fandom and maybe have something to talk about with them.

Secret because: I'm scared it won't be any good or I'll hate it because I'm doing it for the wrong reasons. I'll probably find the results disappointing and maybe I'm a little desperate to make friends in my (small) fandom.
