I don;t think that is what the secret is saying? It seems more to focus on the fact that Secret Anon can't cosplay as a non-white character because they fear SJW response.

If there's some more minority superheroes/heroines it doesn't mean that all the white ones will disappear dude.

(Anonymous) 2013-08-12 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Sure.

But let's say that my favorite character happens to be non-white. If I, as a white person, cosplay that character, I'm going to get all sorts of shit for it.

I think that's what OP is getting at.

You're only going to get shit for it if you paint your face a la blackface.

At least, that's the only time reasonable people will give you shit.

(Anonymous) 2013-08-12 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
... how would you make your skintone match the character, if one can't use some kind of make-up/paint?

(Anonymous) 2013-08-12 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
DA--Don't use facepaint or makeup, and do a good job on the costume. Unless the character design is so cookiecutter that the only distinguishing characteristic is skin tone, you'll still be recognizable.

Then they'd get attacked by the SJWs for whitewashing the character.

Interestingly that's what the OP is talking about.
