But... people also ship a myriad of other characters with Hannibal (both from the books and the movies and the show), and a lot of that fanfic doesn't involve cannibalism.

Actually, I find anyone wanting to ship Hannibal with anyone creepy. I find people finding him sexy creepy. I find people liking him (beyond "That's such an interesting character!") creepy. I find the fact that there's a huge fandom that thinks it looks yummy when Hannibal cooks and eats people beyond disturbing. I just hate this entire thing.

But I was just saying, not all of those shippers are into vore.

(The fact that most of them seem to ship Will and Hannibal and Abigail as a super-happy murder family, completely unironically, creeps me out more, tbh.)
