At this point, I think the onus is on Jeff Davis to either 1) canonically (aka, on the show itself, not in an interview or on Twitter or wherever) reveal Stiles's actual first name and/or 2) canonically provide an explanation for why Finstock's folder calls him "Genim Stilinski."

This isn't an example of out-of-control fanon; it's an example of bad editing and/or prop design that the show creator doesn't want to bother correcting.

I figured it was his middle name. Most school records are first middle last not just first last because of people who have the same first and last names.
