Well, yeah, I still consider the guy not appreciating her effort a pretty shallow reason - especially in a long-term relationship there are bound to appear minor incidents like this and it's a bit unfair to write someone off just because he behaves like a jerk once. unless he does something truly unforgivable of course.

OTOH I stand by that dealbreaking theory and good for the OP to move on if that's what she wanted.
