That would have been my breaking point, too. Why? Fandom is apart of my life. There has been times where I was in relationships where I kept that aspect hidden from my partner, but you know, those relationship weren't always that meaningful for me. However, the few relationships I had where I did explain to my partner that I am apart of a few fandoms were always sincere and great. I'm with someone right now that knows how fangirlish I get with comics or films or whatever, and it is the best relationship I have ever been in. And this is someone who doesn't understand fandoms at all (doesn't see the point in it, at least) and he still encourages my nerdy behavior because it's apart of me. TL;DR: Anon, you deserve way fucking better and hopefully can find a partner that encourages your nerdy love. And I bet you rocked that outfit.
