GEN ONE IS THE ONE TRUE GEN

EVERYTHING ELSE IS DIGIMON CRAP

I kid, though gen one does hold a special place in my heart due to nostalgia goggles, and I also really liked gen 3. And 2. Haven't played 4 or 5.

I agree. I never played 3 or 5, but I did like 2 and 4. Mostly because I always had someone else to play with for 1, 2, and 4.

Right now, it's G2 (both old and new) followed closely by G5. G6 looks promising, though. I doubt X/Y will replace Heart Gold/Soul Silver as my absolute favorites, but it may well surpass Black/Black 2 as a close second place.

2! Followed by 1, 4, 3, and 5, in that order.

2, 3, 1, 5, 4 in that exact order. 3 would probably be first if not for the lack of backwards compatibility/having to hack the game to access the National Dex/etc.

...I MISS MY ISLAND TREEHOUSE.

Secret Bases were the best thing ever. I had mine at the lake right before that Safari Zone thing & the ghost mountain.

Four! Definitely four. I really like all of them, though, except for three. It's not that I dislike it; I just haven't played it.

Probably 4, if only because Platinum was the first time I have ever completed the damn Pokedex.

I feel out of the loop... i, er, like the 151 original pokemon? I guess that's "gen 1". I never liked the new ones except like... togepi or whatever the crap that stupid egg was called.

Damn kids and their new pokemon.

So far I liked pokemon in black/white the most but....IDK something about XY has got me really excited so I think it might become my favourite pokemon generation?

Storywise, I preferred sapphire/ruby/emerald

Fourth gen is probably my favorite. I love third gen a lot, too, though, and I really hope we get an awesome remake at some point.

Gen 2! Always and forever. My least favorite overall is probably 4.

4 and 5. 5.2 is ok, but not as good as 5.

But 4 is definitely my favorite.

all of them? I feel great love and nostalgia for the first season because childhood memories, but there are pokemon I adore in each generation, pokemon I detest, and pokemon I am totally indifferent to, and those ratios don't move all that much from gen to gen

as for games, they are all pretty cool I guess, story/art etc.

5! Moreso BW2 than BW - it has a perfect balance of Unova Pokemon and others from other generations. (My team in W2 ended up having one from each of the first four gens (Sandslash, Ampharos, Absol, Lucario), and two from gen 5 (Samurott, Sigilyph), which was pretty neat. Did end up getting skewed when I replaced Sandslash, with gen 3 Flygon. Ah well.)

It also has the best story, the best game mechanics, some amazing NPCs, the most interesting postgame stuff (medal rally! White Treehollow/Black Tower! PokeStar Studios!), and Dream World is way cool.

However, I think gen 6 is going to trump that. Pokemon-amie would probably be enough to do it, but add in easy EV training AND a new type to nerf bloody dragon AND MegaPokemon of some of my absolute favourites? (...Pun unintended, heh. Oh, beautifully dorky MegaAbsol.) Eee!
