Build-A-Woman!

(Anonymous) 2013-08-13 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
My and my GF had quite a fun discussion today, which I think you'd all enjoy.

What part from what celebrities should be combined to make the most beautiful woman in the world.

I'll start the ball rolling with the first point we both agreed on:

Amanda Seyfried's eyes.

(Oh, FYI, I'm a woman myself.)

So that makes your weird frankenlady idea alright?

Okay

Makes it not creepy, not male-gaze-y, and not neckbeard-y. So... yeah.

Feel free to the male version if you want, tho.

It's still a bit creepy regardless of gender, tbh.

Nope, it's just as creepy.

And I say that as a queer woman who has dealt with harassment and objectification from other women. Fwiw.

Can we do men parts too?

Go nuts, girl. I'm not the boss of GC. I like women and not men, so that's why we did the perfect women, but there's no reason not to do guys too.

Fran Drescher's voice.

Not sure who that is, but I'll get on youtube and let you know if I agree.

Personally, I gotta say Jennifer Hale's voice is the best voice.

And the mouth of Joan Rivers.

I like Fraggles.

This reminds me of that Disney Channel movie, Pixel Perfect. It didn't end well.

I'd like to participate anyway, but there are so many attractive women out there that I seriously wouldn't know where to start.

Jennifer Connelly's eyebrows + Christina Aguilera's nose + Cher's singing voice + Deanna Troi's hair + Tinkerbell's wings and sassiness.

(OK, those last two are fictional characters instead of celebrities, but IDGAF.)

Re: Build-A-Woman!

Karen Gillan hair's, Emilia Clarke's smile, Lyndsy Fonseca's eyes, Jennifer Lawrence's body + Scarlett Johansson's boobs.

FYI: Your being a woman doesn't make this any less objectifying and gross.

Re: Build-A-Woman!

(Anonymous) 2013-08-14 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
FYI: Yes. it does.

Re: Build-A-Woman!

(Anonymous) 2013-08-14 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
I think people like to toss around the word "objectifying" too much.

This is a god damn game about "which celebrities do you find the prettiest" and it has nothing to do with treating them as objects. We're not dehumanizing anyone by saying "hey, that woman's got a gorgeous jawline".

...wasn't this a movie titled, "Weird Science"....?

Writes like Le Guin, paints like Kahlo, sings like Monae (although I'll settle for Patti Smith), and crunches data like my former research professor.
