Secret 14 - Slash vs friend-shipping, Kingdom Hearts, Supernatural, J-Idols, LotR

[Picture is four screen-captures. The first shows Riku and Sora from the Kingdom Hearts videogame series. The second one Sam and Dean Winchester from the TV show "Supernatural". The third one shows the pop idols Akanishi Jin and the fourth one Legolas and Aragorn from the "Lord of the Rings" movies. Riku is a young adolescent who has light olive skin and gray hear reaching his chin, on the front, and covering his neck, on the back. He is sitting down and wearing a light cream vest and dark blue pants/trousers. He is sitting down somewhere, with a hand on his knees. He is looking up at Sora, who is reaching with a hand for him. Sora is a young adolescent with light olive skin, medium-length spiky brown hair jutting out in all directions and is wearing a strange outfit consisting of a short-sleeved shirt , sort of short pants and fingerless gloves, with black, dark blue, yellow and gray colors. Sam and Dean both have short brown hair and light olive skin. Sam has slightly longer hair and is wearing a purple T-shirt and a brown jacket over that. Legolas has straight long blond hair with a widow's peak, dark eyebrows and light skin. He is looking at Aragorn, who has olive skin and sort of messy dark hair reaching his chin, along with a small mustache and beard.]

For a long time, I was really into pornfic. Mostly slash, but I'd take pretty much anything. Reading, writing, everything. As long as I was into the pair, I soaked it up like a sponge.

But not anymore. Now, I'd rather read stories about friendship, about strong, non-romantic bonds. More than anything, I crave stories where two people would do anything, even die for each other, not because they're in love, but because they're that close.

...I think it's because I've never had anyone like that in my own life. (I know, it's pathetic. You don't need to tell me twice.)
