Maybe you shouldn't get into a car if you don't want to die in a car wreck.

Or, y'know, you could seek medical treatment for any injuries you sustain in a car wreck, in order to avoid an outcome you find undesirable. Just like a woman might seek medical treatment for an unplanned pregnancy in order to avoid a "consequence" she finds undesirable.
