I dunno if you're trolling, but the hair thing pissed me off, too. Not because I viewed it as a violation of her body, but as ruining her agency. Rapunzel was the hero, and it was her personal quest to free herself of Gothel, SHE should have been the one to cut her hair, to make that momentous choice. Instead Flynn stole that right out from under her; they couldn't even do it together, it was solely his decision. It's been decades since Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid, aren't we past the point of dudes swooping in to deal with the heroine's tormentor for her and making her the sidekick in her own fight? Princess and the Frog was lackluster, sure, but at least Tiana got to defeat Facilier in a great climax (with her boyfriend nowhere to be seen).
