Re: Types of people you can't stand...

Dogmatic people. It makes zero difference what they're dogmatic ABOUT--every group has its own canon-thumping zealots. If the only way they can have a conversation about the topic at hand is to spew catchphrases or regurgitate bits of whatever treatise on the subject is most popular at the time, even after I've already made it clear that I'm not convinced by the party line and I want to hear them explain or defend their position in their own words, I lose patience pretty quickly.

Also, people who make expensive purchases without reading the fine print or who actually have no idea whatsoever what it is they're buying, then pitch a fit because it doesn't work the way they imagined and they can't get their money back or get a special exception to the rules. Caveat emptor, peeps.

And somewhat related to the previous: self-important people. Um, no, I don't know who you are or how much money or education you've got, nor do I care, nor will speaking down to me in your best firm no-nonsense Important Person voice make an impression. Show a little respect for a fellow human being, or you'll get exactly as much courtesy and effort as my job requires and no more, and I sincerely hope I won't be able to help you.
