Types of people you can't stand...

What are certain things people do that you can't stand?

Leave your politics and SJW out of this pls. I mean stuff like:

I can't stand people that leave shitty tips or try to weasel their way out of paying their fair share of it. And I say this as another diner, not a server. People who are like, "I'm gonna take off a dollar because the soda was too watery, and another dollar because the restaurant was too cold, and..." That wasn't the server's fault. Fuck you.

People who try to use words they clearly don't know the meaning of. Gives me a little twitch when they do it repeatedly. I don't mean mistaking what a word means or mixing it up or anything, I mean people who repeatedly and consistently use big words just to try and sound smart. It's just so...pretentious.

And holy shit, are there people who actually do that, dock tips for things the server can't help? Wow.

My country doesn't use the tip system, but as someone who works in a cafe, the idea of it is awful.

It seems completely pointless punishing the server for things beyond their control. And it would make dealing with asshole customers ten times more unpleasant.

Tipping culture makes me not want to eat out ever, or move (permanently) to a place with no tipping culture, like Japan or Australia. There are restaurants all over first world countries that don't tip, and they make make plenty of money, so there's just no fucking reason for restaurant owners to get away with paying their workers less than minimum wage elsewhere.

Either that, or just add a 15% service charge to all bills - and include it right there on the menu. (Many restaurant already do this, I realize - and I approve.) If nothing is the server's fault, why allow customers to penalize them? If you go to another low paid service and have a bad experience, you can't just take it out of the worker's wage - why should you be allowed to at a restaurant?

In the restaurant vein, I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate ppl who send their food back because it's "too crunchy/not crunchy enough/too cold/too hot/the wrong colour/etc." minor nitpicky things like that that just drive me cray cray. OK if it's undercooked, I'm not a fan of food poisoning, but anything short of that, you should be so grateful you get to go out, sit your lazy backside down, and have someone else cook food, and another person bring it to you, instead of having to do it yourself (especially if it's NOT one of those upscale places, but just a bar-n-grill you are paying, like, ten buck tops, for your meal). Attitude is a big thing with this, too, if they're clearly doing it just to make a big scene, and prove how much better they are than "the help" that just hits my berserk button even more.

TL;DR I don't eat in restaurants with butt-heads.

The type of religious people that think not believing in some sort of god means a person has no morals or is ignorant.

There was this one woman who would not stop harassing me about joining her church. She kept making up bullshit stuff like "Somethin can't come from nothin'. That bench came from somewhere!". I kept telling her "No thank you. No thank you. Please leave me alone." But nooooope. Eventually I told her I'm too old for fairy tales and to fuck off. She still randomly tries to convert me when she sees me at the train station.

People who talk over me on the phone. Ask your question. Take a breath. Let me answer. If my answer doesn't cover everything you can then ask me to elaborate, or ask another question.

Extreme couponers. Especially when they brag about the great deal they're getting. Really anyone who's an asshole to cashiers and other people in service.

Straight girls who flirt with each other over-enthusiastically but get really grossed out if they find out someone they know is a lesbian.

Mature people who act childish because they think it's cute. You are 50 years old lady please stop twirling your hair and acting coy and giggling like a small girl and using baby words at everyone! You aren't cute! You are creepy! (It also hurts my ears when you speak at an octave higher than your voice should be.)

... I know way too many people like this, too, and all of them are over 50 years old. Probably a lot to do with the whole Asian cute-culture thing but I can't stand it waaaauugh stop

- People who play up how being a server is an especially difficult job and omg you just don't know how hard it is to remember an order and deal with customers. Fuck off and go ask a nurse, firefighter, or police officer what a stressful job is. That's not to say it isn't often a job that is hard or stressful, but appreciate what you're doing at the end of the day.

- Anyone who has ever asked to see a manager in any situation short of an employee having kidnapped your children. If I could dedicate my life to making this sort of person aware of what a petty human being they were being I would.

People who can't argue properly. Not like fighting, but debating on a topic. Just repeating a point, or yelling, or calling names, or anything like that doesn't make your argument valid, and gives me less reason to continue the conversation.

I did that when I was in my teens. :/ I still feel horrible about it; it was my way of complaining, but I still paid for my meal so our waiter was the one getting punished. If that restaurant hadn't closed, and if he were somehow still there, I'd go back and tip him extra just to make up for it.

Hypocritical SJWs who refuse to realize how clueless they are even when it is pointed out to them. Like how they think cultural appropriation is horrible unless the cultural being appropriated is a European one. For example = Dress up as a samurai when you aren't Japanese? You are being racist. Dress up as a knight when you aren't European? Fine.

To them, it's perfectly fine to treat a culture as a play thing as long as it is European.

I've discovered I get really, really twitchy around people who talk loudly on public transport? Was on the bus last night and the couple behind me were talking so loudly I could hear them through noise-cancelling headphones and loud music.

I know that maybe they didn't live together and were just catching up or something, but I had been out since eight and it was now half past seven and I was exhausted and just wanted to snooze on the way home and... sob.

People who lie or exaggerate or say/post pointlessly aggressive or inflammatory things just to purposely get a rise out of people. And then all "hahaha, why are you getting upset I'm not serious!"

They make me really embarrassingly angry and I dislike them greatly. I had a friend that loved to pose questions/opinions that he knew were hot buttons for other people and then laugh when people got upset. That got old fast and as we grew up and his attitude didn't...well, we're no longer friends.

Worse are the ways people convince themselves they're justified in doing it. "You're clearly an idiot, so it doesn't matter how I talk to you" "You offend me so I want you to die"

People who give really patronizing advice. People who act astounded when you mention offhand that you do things differently than them. Just people who think your life is their business, really. Especially when they do it with a creepy false smile and obviously just want to TAKE YOU UNDER THEIR WING AND FIX YOUUUUU. :D

Including but not limited to certain breeds of religious people, extroverts who think introverts are just repressed extroverts who don't get to do anything fun, people who act snide about what people do with their own body/appearance, people who don't think anyone can be happy doing menial work...

-Clingy and paragraph texters. I dated this guy once who would text me paragraphs and expect a reply in less than 5 minutes. Then he would get butthurt that I have no fucking time or cares to text him back paragraphs. Dumped him after.

-Indecisive people. What restaurant do you want to go to? Oh, you pick. What about _ ? Oh I don't like _. Ok how about ? Oh I don't like their _. Well fuck you then and tell me where you want to go.

But seriously though, fuck tipping if the waiters/waitresses have a set wage. If I don't get tips for cleaning people's asses then why are you getting tipped? Really? I need to give you extra money for doing your job?

People who think they are a contestant in a misery contest in order to get attention.

If I say I had a bad day. They counter-say that their day was worse. If I hurt myself. They say that my pain isn't compared to theirs for what ever recent injury. If I said I had a rough childhood. They say they had it even rougher. Everything in their life is worse therefore everyone should give them only them sympathy and attention because heaven forbid they actually have to be sympathetic.

I have a relative who does this all the freaking time. It's annoying as hell. One time, we were at a doctor's appointment for her and she was talking to a breast cancer survivor who had to have both breasts removed. Well, my relative was trying to say that somehow she was worse off than the survivor because she had Celiacs. I had to walk out of the room to prevent myself from yelling, "WHAT?!!"
