DID Snape change? He was still an abusive, bullying shit. Dumbledore's hardly a saint either, but there's not much evidence that Snape gave up his old attitudes after switching sides.

As I mentioned to somebody upthread, I'm not sure how useful the "not much evidence" criticism is, because ANY evidence is more than Rowling gives us for her secondary characters' character development. There are a lot of Informed Attributes going around in those books.
