I don't get why this is such a big deal. So, it's not gonna be canon. You *hope* it will be, well.... More power to you? So long as you're not being an asshole about it, or spamming the writers/show runners/whatever with stuff about, who cares?

You're having fun, you have tons of fic and art to sate your Destial craving, and lots of fun little moments from the show, so....

Maybe the secret poster is allowing gossip and or spoilers to get her hopes up then feels silly/dissapointed when it proves false. I'm exactly the same with this ship for some reason. 90% of the time I think the show would never ever make Dean Gay/Bi for anyone but then I read some spoiler that sounds Destielish and my heart leaps and I start to think it's a possibilty again. Logic says no but somehow "Hope" keeps being rekindled by the slightest thing. I don't spam the show or anything and i'm not in to Cockles but Canon Destiel is my Kryptonite.

THIS. This is exactly how I feel. Destiel is my Kryptonite, and all it takes is one small thing and I'm hoping all over that I'll get to witness them being canon. It's getting to be too disappointing to face reality. I DO enjoy the fanfics and fan art, there is plenty in this fandom, but I really want/need to face reality to get away from the disappointment of never seeing that particular dream come true.
