This. What makes it worse that in my case, the person getting passive-aggressive is meant to be a good friend, and she met me through my fanworks. I don't even.

ayrt yes, this is exactly what is happening to me right now. I don't know if I'd consider them to be close friends, but they ARE supposed to be my friends and we met in the fandom, but now that for some reason my work has gotten popular, that's somehow reason for them to turn on me

Wow, that seems like something you really needed to scream out. Do you feel better now?

(Just in case - totally not trolling or sarcastic. I am totally serious. Sometimes there are things that just fester and you need to scream or allcaps them before you explode.)

I hear anon, though. I'm not marginally a BNF or well known, but sometimes I felt like some of them got a lot of undeserved flack.

ayrt I do feel better. I can't actually say it to anyone because this person and her clique are being very good at hiding their passive aggression from the rest of fandom and I would look paranoid, but it's really happening and I needed to get it off my chest.
