I see what you're saying. But it strikes me that most of that's really more about certain shippers doing human-interaction wrong, rather than evidence that being focused on shipping is doing TV-watching wrong.

I guess I'm interested in knowing whether people have qualms about watching a show primarily for the sake of a ship. Where love of the story-telling, or genre, or other characters is a factor, but is secondary to the shipping. Because I think a lot of fen have shows where shipping is the main enjoyment for them, and that's always been the case.
