Eh, I recently finished Fire Emblem Awakening on Normal/Casual. I regret not pairing this with at least Hard, but even so, playing on Casual is met with much disdain, supposedly. But eh, I find it way too annoying to do my first run with constant restarting when a unit dies.

Plus, I I almost never play action and horror games and only watch Let's plays of them, because I lack the patience and in the last case, the courage for them.

Another one who can't let them die? High five. I do the restarting every time thing, though, because I'm stubborn. :P

Then you're more patient and tenacious than me! But yeah, even on my second run which is classic, I just can't bear to let anyone die without restarting - I just feel like I'm missing something.

Plus, when I played for the first time, I didn't know if I would wan to replay it again, so I figured I'd get out as much as possible from the first run.

Turns out that I did want to play again - I have a male unit now and try to max out the Support log as much as possible in this 2nd playthrough - S-Ranks included.

I played on casual, too. In earlier games, whenever someone died I restarted anyway, so in the end nothing's changed other than I'm saving myself some time. That's how I look at it, anyway~

This! After restarting all the time in Sacred Stones, I just wanted to save myself time, so I played on casual. It worked for me as a big part is all the character interaction and social links that I love.

Yeah. I find it pretty obnoxious that some FE players insist that you gotta play classic because otherwise you're not experiencing the game "right".

Plus, the creators themselves explicitly said in an interview that they added casual because they knew that many gamers nowadays don't have much time, so this feature allows them to experience this game stressfree and with better progress.

They also said they reset if they lose a unit, so I felt less bad about doing that myself.

Casual mode was a brilliant idea and people who say otherwise make me sigh loudly. You don't have to use it if you don't want to, but for anyone who does, it's a great option.

I loved playing casual! I'm glad they actually added it on, restarting was a pain in the ass.
