The Titanic. It wasn't her fault that there was an iceberg in the water, damn it.

McCoy/Spock. And Kirk/Spock/McCoy. Poor Bones gets left out of the OT3 action too much lately. :(

Hello anon I wish to subscribe to your newsletter, do you have any McCoy/Spock recs?

Um, not really. I don't read a lot of fic these days, and when I do, I haven't had the best luck. There's a reason I saved this comic from the tumbles:

I am so protective of my OTP that I never even talk about them except to other shippers. Most of my fandom friends have no idea I'm into them. It's messed up and overly secretive of me, given that it's a tiny ship no one cares about, but it's a good brake against drama. I would be so capable of causing drama for this ship otherwise.

Optimus/Starscream. Not because the ship itself needs defending, but because people love to shit on it so much that I feel defensive about it all the time now.

Transformers Prime Optimus and Starscream or G1 Optimus and Starscream?

TFP Starscream had a gay moment in the series so I see him as slightly gayer than G1 Screamer

What do mean by protective?

I have a few ships I know I will never ever stop shipping, and DGAF what anyone else says.
Alex/Sophia from Last Exile, and Alex/Sophia/Vincent OT3
Riku/Namine from Kingdom Hearts
Vincent Valentine/Aerith Gainsborough from FFVII
Jenova/Lucretia from FFVII... It started out as a crack ship, but I seriously ship it now...

I think by 'protective' they mean a ship that you're always willing to defend if someone insults/dismisses/mocks it, and that you get annoyed when people do.

JD/Elliot from Scrubs.

Because yes, yes, yes they totally were a completely fucking godawful couple for 7 seasons of the show. I totally agree with everyone who complains about that, because you're all totally correct. But I will forever argue that their final restart of their relationship in season 8 was not only a complete 180 from how they had behaved in the previous 7 seasons, it also built on and depended on their in-universe understanding that they HAD been awful in the previous 7 seasons and genuinely growing and learning from it in ways that actually showed in their overall characterizations in season 8. And their ability to actually do that in a believable way was executed really well, with an awesome low-key attitude that I pretty much never see on TV.

And they got together by having a long mature talk honestly discussing the pros and cons of getting together again, and deciding clear-headedly that it would make them happy to try it. Seriously, how many other TV couples can you name who got together for good that way?

Exactly! JD and Elliot get so much shit for their ridiculous behaviour in the early seasons but the whole point of that ship is that they mature and learn and grow into people who are actually compatible with one another. By the end of the series, when JD is seeing that montage, you actually feel like they'll make it this time (that scene always makes me cry, really hard).
