Ah, well, it only works on a PC version of the game. Main reason I buy those games for the PC: Cheat option and mods.
I'm OCD about looting as well - it's always terrible if a game has a limited inventory and I can't take everything with me haha

Oh yes, the fade. When I played that for the first time, it seemed to go on forever - it was actually one of the main reasons I put off playing the game again for so long - I didn't want to do the fade quest again. Even with cheats and skipping the battles, it took ages!

I played on PC too but didn't know anything about cheating and didn't mess with mods. Mostly I only bother with cheating in games like Sims, but next time I replay DA:O I might try it...

And Fallout and Elder Scrolls are horrible because of that. I'm constantly fast traveling to store or sale equipment. :(

I think the first time I entered the fade I restarted the game. Hahaha. Didn't abandon that playthrough, just came back to it later; I wanted to try another area first and remind myself the game was worth finishing.

runscript killallhostiles was my best friend in the Deep Roads XD

Seems like a lot of typing but once you did that a few times, it's fast enough (faster than battling the Darkspawn, at least). There are also immortality cheats if you like the fighting but keep dying.

Fallout is another game where I cheated a lot - I'm terribly bad at shooting and I kept traveling to areas where I really shouldn't have gone with my low level. At least you could make companions carry some stuff, but pick up only one of the bigger weapons and OVERENCUMBERED OTL

I never could decide whether the Fade or the Dwarven politics in Orzammar plus Deep Road field trip were worse, to be honest...

*bookmarks* Thank you friendly anon!

Oh god, killallhostiles sounds like a dream. Yayyyy!

Immortality sounds lovely, because there was a fair amount of healing and reviving in my playthroughs. After a while the hoards of enemies get really old.

Fallout would be the game to play on PC, but I play on console so I just end up avoiding the harder areas until I'm at an appropriate level. Either that or taking the long way to areas, or just running from enemies. Not that it always works, but I've had some success with it in the past. (Man, it took forever for me to get to New Vegas because I couldn't kill or avoid the deathclaws. Fucking deathclaws. It doesn't help that Boone isn't afraid of anything.)

I never could decide whether the Fade or the Dwarven politics in Orzammar plus Deep Road field trip were worse, to be honest...

Hmm, well I did like some of the Dwarven politics stuff; I found the storyline fascinating and the dwarven origins are my favorite, so...it wasn't all bad, but Orzammar feels like it goes on forever so...I feel you.

You're welcome!

Killallhostiles is great - group of enemies: kill them. New wave: kill them. All with one cheat. Sometimes, it doesn't kill all of them and you have to enter it again, but that's okay.

Immortality is great when you don't want to use tons of injury kits (or whatever they were called) on the characters who died and stood up *injured* after the battle was over.

ED-E was surprisingly effective as well in New Vegas. But yeah, Deathclaws. Ugh. I also kept stumbling into areas with really mean mutants. It got better after I learnt how to use the stealth options properly, but still.

I thought it was interesting as well, especially the way you could play both sides for a long time. It just took so long. And maybe the Dalish origin I played influenced me as well XD It actually was kind of funny - I think my Warden accidentally made a woman from Dust Town kill her child, but I'm still not sure if that's really what happened...

That sounds incredibly useful, especially in the deep roads. (Oh god that never-ending bridge of darkspawn. ... That might've been DA2, actually. *scratches head*)

Or wait for your healer to regain mana. That takes for-fucking-ever. Ugh.

ED-E is awesome as well! And I have a soft spot for Arcade Gannon as well, just because he's adorable. The mutants sometimes scare me and I can't use stealth worth shit so that isn't even an option. Just lots and lots of killing and/or stimpaks. Blerg.

Ooo, I remember that lady! You could talk her parents into taking her and her newborn baby back. I always took that option because I couldn't stomach anything else...I'm not a good renegade.

I... think the bridge was Origins, just before you meet Branka? I think there were some Legion of the Dead Dwarves as well. That took ages OTL

Arcade is adorable. I love his comments when you do something he isn't really good at (like sneaking). I must admit, I kept being scared in Fallout most of the time X'D I love the atmosphere in the games because I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic scenarios, but at the same time, the emptiness and the mutants are really creepy...

I think the reason I was being an ass with that Dwarven lady was because I didn't properly read through the options and basically only chose "You wouldn't want that kinf of life for your kid, right" and she went "You're right (I'm gonna toss him into the Deep Roads now by)" and I just stood there thinking "Wait, did I just make her go kill her kid? That wasn't my intention!"
Considering my Warden, that kind of fatal communication error actually fit, but still XD

Yea, I think you're right. It's been a few years or so since my last playthrough and I managed DA2 twice but my memory of that is sort of fuzzy too. The legion of the dead were cool!

Arcade is the best and makes me sad that you can't romance in Fallout games. I also would've liked the option to romance Boone. I think I've been playing BioWare games for too long, LOL. And some of the ambient music in New Vegas is downright terrifying, so I can't even blame you. Plus, idk, I always feel a little helpless against the bigger enemies in Fallout games. I don't usually get to carry too many large weapons so I'm always afraid my companion is going to be caring my best weapons when I run into something serious.

Ngl, I'm cracking up a bit at that. It's terrible and I hope that dwarf changed her mind, but what an outrageous mistake.

You don't have to re-type killallhostiles just bring up console command (tilde or whatever) and press the up arrow key.

This was a godsend for me in DA2 where you can't see what you're typing and every encounter had 3 enemy waves.
